Lords of Interior recently completed a full interior design in Bashundhara K Block, Dhaka for a [family/NRI client]. The client wanted more storage, a practical kitchen, and a finish that holds up in Dhaka’s humid weather, all within a fixed budget and with no surprise costs.
Materials Used for Dhaka’s Humid Climate
Dhaka’s humidity and monsoon rain are tough on interior work, so we match each material to the room. In this Bashundhara K Block flat, we used [18 mm BWP marine ply] for the kitchen and bathroom vanity, where water exposure is highest, and [HDHMR board] for the wardrobes and TV unit. All surfaces are finished with [1 mm HPL laminate, brand], and every cut edge is sealed to stop moisture entering the board.
Hardware and moisture protection: We installed [soft-close stainless steel hinges and branded drawer channels] that resist rust, and we [applied anti-termite treatment and kept kitchen cabinets raised from the floor]. [Warranty line.]
